Hello from Minnesota

Hello from the Healys! We are enjoying our time in Minnesota, though we will miss being in Cebu for the Christmas season. That is the best time of the year to be at the Shelter.

Our work here is to spread the word about CSC. We have been able to speak in several churches that support the ministry in our time here:

1. Big Springs Baptist
2. Warroad Baptist
3. First Baptist Church of Two Harbors
4. First Baptist Church of Sturgeon Bay
5. Emmaus Baptist Church
6. Central Baptist
7. River of Life Free Church
8. Kulm Baptist

We have met with clubs and civic groups, and with many individual supporters and potential donors, and have attended conferences and meetings of missions committees. In addition, we have had the pleasure of seeing adopted CSC children and their families.

One joyous evening we saw two of our former children performing in the Cambridge High School production of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. Angel Wichman and Malou Rodriguez were involved in the play and it was great to see them in action.

Thanks for your prayers for our family. We have been dealing with some health concerns both personally, and with our parents. The other day I had an angiogram to determine whether there is blockage in my heart. There is some blockage, but it is not significant enough to warrant any procedures. My father, Jerry, is dealing with throat cancer, and my mom has had eye surgery.

I will try to update this blog regularly. Sorry for failing to do that in the past!
